Hi, re: > thanks for the quick reply. No worries. re: > We've been trying changing those numbers in the table but that didn't work. Hmm... re: > It looks like it's not reading the data properly, like it's too noisy > (maybe it has also to do with the color scale? Your follow-up to my original reply let me know that I needed to examine the file that you sent as an attachment to your original inquiry. I just tried to use the file you sent in McIDAS, and it looks like there is something wrong with the image, or it is in a format that is not supported in Unidata GEMPAK or McIDAS. Question: - where did you get the file that you sent? Comment: Can you try grabbing the L2-CMIP file that we are creating (and distributing in the Unidata Internet Data Distribution System (IDD)) from one of our THREDDS Data Server instances and trying to use it in your GEMPAK setup? Here is the URL for the image of the same time and type that we are creating that I'd like you to grab and test: http://thredds.ucar.edu/thredds/catalog/satellite/goes/east/products/CloudAndMoistureImagery/FullDisk/Channel08/current/catalog.html?dataset=goes-east-products/CloudAndMoistureImagery/FullDisk/Channel08/current/OR_ABI-L2-CMIPF-M6C08_G16_s20192351110220_e20192351110220_c20192351110220.nc re: > We saw that in the East > Pacific over the coast of Peru the clouds have a nice pattern but that's > not the case for basically the rest of the image). Given the name on the file that you sent, it seems likely that the image you have does not have the same internal structure as the ones that we are creating and making available. re: > Thanks again for the support! No worries. I will be VERY interested in how your testing of the CMIP images we make available goes!
