Hi Leigh,
Steve moved on from Unidata a few years back, but I'd be happy to help you
setup GEMPAK on your new system.
It sounds like GEMPAK is already installed but you're accessing it on a network
drive? If you previously built GEMPAK for a different system architecture then
you'll need to re-build from scratch for this new RHEL5 system, which GEMPAK is
fully compatible with.
If instead you're trying to run the binary files built for another RELH5 of the
same architecture, then you'll need to update whatever libraries are missing on
this new system.
What I need from you in order to help further:
1) What system architecture are you using? The shell command "uname -a" will
tell you this.
2) What are the contents of the directory $NAWIPS/os/ ?
3) Verify that libXp, libXp-devel, openmotif and openmotif-devel are installed.
The command ldd $OS_BIN/nmap2 should return information about any missing
libraries required by GEMPAK.
If you don't have the latest version 6.2.0 I'd recommend grabbing the tarball
archive from our download page to perform a fresh build.

Let me know how it goes and send back any problems you encounter or questions
you have.
Best,
Michael James
