GEMPAK is freely available for download from our web site by registering
and accepting the terms of the Unidata usage agreement.

GEMPAK is not a Windows application, so you will not find a binary distribution
for that platform. You can run a Linux emulation program on top of Windows
(some third party applications such as VMplayer exist for running 
a Linux kernel under Windows).

GEMPAK can decode and display common data sets anywhere on the globe. You will 
need
to provide your own data source. Numerous decoder programs are available for 
converting 
weather data into GEMPAK format. Information on these programs can be found in 
the online
web pages for GEMPAK setup and the tutorial materials which are the
primary method of support for unaffiliated users.
