Harvey,

Your output shows you are decoding the #215 20km NAM grids as well as the 80km 
#211 ngm grids.
From your NAGRIB output, I see that your NAM grid 215 20km data in the 
surface/boundary levels
with some AVOR at pressure levels. You do not have the full 3d levels for 
plotting parameters
such as height at 500 and 700mb.

You can run GDINFO with GDATTIM, GLEVEL, GVCORS and GFUNC set to "all" to
see what levels, times, parameters are available in the data you have decoded.

Also, your [IP -5] error in your script is trhe result of using the "#" 
character as comment within
the GEMPAK input. The correct comment character is "!".
