Yong-Moon,

The file you attached is one of FSL's MADIS-ACARS netcdf files. This
file can be decoded using the dcacars decoder which will craete
a gempak surface ship format file which can be used in
NSHARP, or acprof (to create a sounding at a location from available soundings)
or NMAP2, SFMAP to plot the observed values on a 2-d map.

The command to decode your file is:
cat 20050709_0800 | dcacars -v -l - YYYYMMDDHH_acars.gem
