Hi Steve,
I have the same full set of Eta levels in the output as I did at
previous times. The only difference is that I'm converting output from
a newer version of WRF, so maybe that is the problem.
Thanks,
Mike

Michael,
The error message you see seems to indicate that GDCINT cannot
interpolate to 1000 mb because that level is not between
available input levels.
Is this file missing some lower levels that other files do have?

Hi Steve,
I know from previous conversations that GDVINT has hardwired limits of
the number of parameters and levels it will interpolate to. However,
I'm having a strange problem now. I've been running GDVINT to convert
WRF model output from the eta-level vertical coordinate to pressure
coordinates, and its been working fine outputting pressure-level data
from 1000 to 50 mb every 25 mb.
Now, suddenly, I'm having problems converting a particular output file,
no matter how many pressure levels I tell it to interpolate too, I get
errors at 1000 mb, even when I ask for output only every 50 mb to 100
or 200 mb.
TMPK not interpolated to level = 1000
HGHT not interpolated to level = 1000
UWND not interpolated to level = 1000
VWND not interpolated to level = 1000
WWND not interpolated to level = 1000
DWPK not interpolated to level = 1000
QVAP not interpolated to level = 1000
OMEG not interpolated to level = 1000
Do you have any idea why this would happen? I figured that by reducing
the number of pressure levels I asked for I could work around the
hardwired limit.
Thanks,
Mike
