Mary Ann, No, the library fields are used to compile the programs. The programs are all statically linked and do not require the lib/aix directory for runtime. I do not pack the library fields in a binary distribution to lessen the tar file size. The binary distribution contains all files and tables needed to run the distribution, but source code, libraries and build Makefiles are not packaged. If you need the library files to link your own development programs to, I can post them.
