Hi-
I was hoping for some wisdom on reading in 5 minute data and running a
time to space conversion of surface data. this is from Koch and O'Handley
1997 WAF 12 2 253-281.
In the oawfsr.f program I would need to change the weighting function. the
weighting function would need to subract (delta t/tau)^2. tau is a
constant if we assume that the data is in a specific format (say 5
minutes) so then is delta t.
The issue is then how does gempak read in the data? In this case, gempak
would have to read in +/- 45 minutes worth of data in order to perform the
analysis at one time. I guess a loop over time with the current time being
the reference.
do you have any advice on if changing the weighting function program and
oabsfc.f will hinder other gempak programs?
thanks for any help...
