Tom,
Beginning with 5.6.J, nsharp reads the config tables under
$NAWIPS/tables/nsharp for the templates to be referenced
under $GEMTBL/config/datatype.tbl. Otherwise, the BROWSE
option starts at the current directory initially. This now
allows the data locations to be standardized with the other programs.
For older versions, the path is hardcoded in to the X resource file
$NAWIPS/resource/Nsharp in the widget defaults, eg:
! #########################################################################
! Data locations if environmental variables not found, default will search:
! $GEMDATA/upparair, $GEMDATA/acars, $HDS, respectively
!
! GEMPAK observed sounding data
!
Nsharp*obssndg_sel.pattern: /data/ldm/gempak/upperair/*upa*
!
! GEMPAK ACARS data
!
Nsharp*acarsndg_sel.pattern: /data/ldm/gempak/acars/*acars*
!
! GEMPAK Point forecast model sounding data (from MODSND)
!
Nsharp*pfcsndg_sel.pattern: /data/ldm/gempak/upperair/*.snd
!
! GEMPAK model data
!
Nsharp*mdlsharp_sel.pattern: /data/ldm/gempak/model/*.gem
Note that the above is obsolete with newer versions since you probably don't
want to maintain multiple copies of data locations.
