Support, COMET's NAWIPS was recently updated and some of the meteorologist visiting noticed an error in the default cross-section plotting input to Potential Vorticity. On our system the file to be changed is at the following location: /pub/nawips/comet/garp/fdf/xsscalar/default/general/PotVort_Ks-1P-1 and the line to change is: function = PVOR ( TMPK, WND ) it should read: function = PVOR ( THTA, WND ) In other words Potential Vorticity should use potential temperature, not temperature.
