That's great news, since I didn't dare try to use the white bg drivers w/ garp or the n progs, so it sounds like ncolor will give us the same sort of color customizability for the gui's that gpcolor does for the gempak progs. > The only thing I found that didn't work was with the 5.6 non-X "gif" driver > which I did test using the gifw code in the $GEMPAK/source/driver/active > directory. I had to directly change the code there. Well hopefully we won't need to create these duplicate drivers now since presumably using gpcolor with the standard gif driver would work OK. I'm going to install the 5.6 now and we'll see if we can live without any modifications. Thanks again. Tom
