NEXRAD Level II Maintenance Notification - Friday March 24th, 2017 (ROC)

Radar Operations Center Engineering will be performing a planned maintenance activity to the ROC portion of the Level II Network.  The activity is a network upgrade for the Enterprise connectivity on the ROC Level II cluster.
 
 Start Time: 9:00 AM (Central time) Friday March 24th, 2017
 Duration: 2 Hours
 Event: Network Enterprise Upgrade (DS3 to Diverse Fiber)
 
 The activity is anticipated to take about 2 hours to complete and will effect data flow of the "Alternate Level II Path" several times during the cut-over and testing.  (RDS Path ONLY)
 
 The Primary Data Path via the TOC servers is not part of this activity.
 (No service interruption via primary path is anticipated.)

NWS IS ALSO PLANNING Maintenance activities on 4/1/2017 in Silver Spring that will likely cause operational service issues with the TDS (for 12 hours).  The ROC will be rolling the AGGREGATE function to Norman the day before as a risk mitigation strategy to reduce the impacts to this planned maintenance activity. (AND WE WILL SENDING OUT A SEPARATE NOTICE for this event)  I'm just trying to give everyone a heads-up.
