Sorry for the slow response. Things are quite busy here as we prepare for
AMS (I fly to Atlanta tomorrow)...

I have no idea what the grib2 messages are. I can take a look at the
situation after getting back from AMS if you like.
The other thing you could try is:
- send an email to either address@hidden or address@hidden
to see if anyone in the community can shed light on what the products are.
