Re: Major Updates to NMQ Coming Soon

Hi everyone,

A large portion of the NMQ / MRMS products should now be available via HTTP and/or LDM.  Those using LDM to grab netCDF files were switched over to the MRMS binary data feed yesterday evening.  If you are having trouble connecting to our LDM / HTTP data services, please let us know.

Some products remain unavailable, and we're working to bring them back as soon as possible.  The most notable of these are the gauge-corrected QPEs, which should be back online later this evening.  If you are receiving a speciality data feed from us, please know we are planning to restore them tomorrow (Thursday).   

Work continues on the new QVS web display, but several products are viewable at http://nmq.ou.edu.  

Many thanks for your patience as we transition from NMQ to MRMS.

There you will find information about changes to our product domain, frequency, availability, and format.  Please note it is not 100% complete at this time, but we are working quickly to fill in the remaining gaps.  Check back often for updates.

Anticipated start date is July 30th with outages of top tier products possible for the entire day.  Secondary products will return as we are able to restore them but don't expect their outages to be lengthy.  QVS will have various outages too (see Google Doc Section 3).   

We will send a reminder 24-hours before the update begins and notify you of any changes to the schedule.
