Hi Chifan,
Mike drove the inquiry that you sent to his personal email address
into the Unidata inquiry tracking system...
re:

If the question is about products in a datastream, the best thing
is to send the inquiry to:
address@hidden
If the question is about the flow of products in the IDD, the best thing
is to send the inquiry to:
address@hidden
If the question is specifically about the LDM, the best thing is to send
the inquiry to:
address@hidden
Since your question is about the processing of products in an IDD datastream,
it is probably best sent to the address@hidden email
address. This is what Mike did when he transferred your question to
our inquiry tracking system.

Question:
- have you verified that the 75 mb and 50 mb fields are actually in
the datastream (which happens to be NGRID)?
The reason I ask is that the pattern-action file action that is being
used to write the NAM 12km products to a single output file for each
model run does not discriminate by level:
NGRID ^[LM].B... KWBE ([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9]).*NAM_84/#218
FILE
data/pub/native/grid/NCEP/NAM/CONUS_12km/NAM_CONUS_12km_(\1:yyyy)(\1:mm)\1_\200.grib2
I am currently running a 'notifyme' to see if 75 mb (75 hPa) and 50 mb (50 hPa)
fields are in the IDD NGRID datastream:
<as 'ldm' on motherlode>
notifyme -vl /local/ldm/logs/NGRID_NAM_CONUS_12km.log -f NGRID -h
idd.unidata.ucar.edu -p "NAM_84/#218" -o 100000
So far I have not seen any fields above 100 mb.
Cheers,
Tom
