Hi Bob, Yes and no... The data is generally the same barring some format issues. The UCAR/COMET cases are best handled with GEMPAK as some data is delivered in that format, the rest is generally native i.e. nids, AREA files, grib, which are all handled nicely via GEMPAK. The NWS/OM cases will cover the same time frame, but will be in AWIPS netCDF format. So with some "X" to netCDF decoders, such as our gribtonc, these cases can be manipulated to be viewed on either platform. The WES software is exclusive currently to the HP's run at the NWS. Please let me know if I can help any further, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Tue, 19 Nov 2002, Unidata Support wrote: > Reply-to:Robert Ross <address@hidden> > -------- > > ------- Forwarded Message > > >To: address@hidden > >cc: address@hidden > >From: Robert Ross <address@hidden> > >Subject: UCAR/COMET & NWS/OM Case Studies > >Organization: UCAR/Unidata > >Keywords: 200211191624.gAJGOH405925 > > The Birmingham Tornado Case appears as UCAR/COMET Case Study 038 AND as > NWS/OM Case Study 038.
