Hi,

One of our grad students is trying to ftp to
casedata.comet.ucar.edu.  We are ftp'ing from
cedar.atmos.albany.edu.  Our connection attempts
are being denied; it looks like casedata is running
TCP Wrappers and not allowing access from cedar.
FTP access was possible from cedar in the past.

cedar.atmos.albany.edu recently changed IP numbers
from 169.226.4.74 to 169.226.43.74.  I surmise that
casedata may have an explicit allow for the old IP
number.  Can you check on this, and change the
reference to either the new IP number or its
FQDN?

recently increased securtiy measures here, and I believe we need to add
your IP address to those accepted here at COMET. I am forwarding your

I will make an allowance for "atmos.albany.edu", which can then cover
more than just "cedar", but not all of albany either.
