Hi Manda, I have duplicated the conversion error from CODIAC, so I grabbed the data (not via CODIAC) and ran dcgrib2 on the RUC files and had no problems with the conversion to GEMPAK. I understand why you could not get the GEMPAK files from CODIAC ( changed versions of GEMPAK and did not refresh links ) and this is being corrected at JOSS, however I do not have an answer for why the decoding was not successful at your locale. Were you using dcgrib2? If so I may need to investigate the compression and file transfer protocols to see if the data is being corrupted in transfer. Thanks for your help and patience, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Fri, 4 May 2001, Ron Murdock wrote: > Jeff - Know anything about this one? > > Ron > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > Date: Thu, 3 May 2001 16:35:26 -0500 (CDT) > From: Amanda Adams <address@hidden> > To: address@hidden > Subject: data problem > > Hi, > > I requested the RUC grib data for 7/18/96 which is part of the > comet case study number 6.
