Are there specific cases you have been dealing with, or particular datasets that are causing your problems? I am not quite certain of the issues you are experiencing. I am running GEMPAK 5.6 on solaris x86, and have not witnessed any difficulties...excluding the textual weather products which were originally designed to be viewed in Peter Neilly's "Weather" software. Steve chizwell and myself are working on ways to have them accessible via garp and the NWX package. Please let me know what we can do to make your case study experience less troublesome and hopefully we can make it go more smoothly for you. Thank you for your comments, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Fri, 16 Mar 2001, Kopp, Fred wrote: > There have been suggestions that garp will not be supported much longer. > > In general the comet historical cases are not displayable by gempak 5.6 or > 5.6A > gui's (ntl). > > For that matter garp will not display case studies without considerable > modification > of the Garp_defaults file. > > The case studies have variable data stuctures from case to case so that a > Garp_defaults > is needed for each case. > > Will future releases address this problem? > > Fred Kopp >
