Hi there, > So from home do I not need to download Edex not sure if I did connect to your > Edex server Depending on what you're trying to do, you likely do not need your own EDEX server and can use our publicly available one. Are you wanting to run CAVE -- that's the visualization component of AWIPS that allows you to load and view data that's on our EDEX server? If so, I highly recommend starting with our helpful, step- by-step tutorial, Learn AWIPS CAVE: https://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/#cave-elearning-course If you're wanting to use python-awips, our programmatic API for accessing EDEX data, then we also have a similar, short tutorial course for that as well: https://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/#python-awips-elearning-course Let me know if those are helpful and get you what you're looking for?
