Hi Pete, The data in the data_store directory is called "raw data" and its purge rules are located in: /awips2/edex/data/utility/common_static/base/archiver/purger/RAW_DATA.xml There is a default rule at the beginning, but it's possible the satellite data may already be in one of the defined "categories". You'll have to change the "defaultRetentionHours" or "selectedRetentionHours" parameters to get the raw data to purge more frequently. You can have it purge as quickly as every hour. As for the data showing in CAVE. What's rendered in CAVE comes from the /awips2/edex/data/hdf5/ directories and the psql database. If you deleted the files from the hdf5 directory, it's possible you're still able to load them because they've been cached, in that case, you'd want to remove your local "caveData" directory, and then you should no longer be able to load the satellite imagery. Let me know if this helps.
