Hi Matthew, I watched your video and that does seem ridiculous. I've never seen CAVE take that long before. I assume you've started it more than once (this was not your first time)? Upon initial install and the first time running CAVE it can take a **bit** longer because it's populating a local cache (known as caveData) that it doesn't have to do on subsequent runs, which makes them faster. I sort of feel like maybe your connection is being throttled. Could you possibly run a speed test before, and during running CAVE? Just go to Google or Bing (probably any search engine of your choice) in your browser and type in "speed test" and run the speed test. Maybe run this a few times and make note of the upload and download speeds before you have CAVE running at all, and then a few times while you start up CAVE again? Let me know what kind of numbers you're seeing. The only other thing I can suggest right now, and I have no idea if it will help or not, but there is an alternate Windows option, by running a Linux VM. The instructions are on our install page if you'd be interested in running that version to see if there's any noticeable difference (have to scroll down to Method 2): http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-cave/#windows Again, my apologies for this behavior. Hope we can help get it ironed out.
